Dislocate
Dislocate is the University of Minnesota's student-run national literary journal. Although Dislocate began as an electronic journal, in Spring 2005 the first annual print edition was published. This magazine offers an opportunity to MFA students who are interested in gaining or expanding their knowledge of compiling, editing, and designing a literary magazine.
SASE Wings
SASE Wings is a program designed for avid young writers desiring more support and guidance than is provided in the traditional school setting, or even in the average creative writing class. Wings pairs mentors with young writers ages 8-18 for a twelve-week program that runs from June through August. Mentors help young writers explore their worlds, imaginations, and writing skills through guided reading, writing, and conversation. Reading suggestions and writing exercises are provided, but remember that the best mentors teach what they know and love. Mentors are encouraged to bring their own writing and the writing of authors that they admire to the table.
Voices From the Gaps
Voices From the Gaps is an online project that focuses on the lives and works of women writers of color in North America. The Voices project is made possible through an ongoing collaborative effort between faculty and students in the Department of English and the Program in American Studies at the University of Minnesota. In addition, this site relies upon students and scholars from around the world to contribute author "home pages" for women writers of color.
Ivory Tower
Ivory Tower is an art and literary journal published by English, Journalism, and Art Undergraduates at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
